Vermont Travel Industry Conference Elects Bill Orleans as Chairperson
June 16, 2009 -- Bill Orleans, who has been promoting Vermont's tourist and travel industry for 28 years - one brochure at a time - has been elected Chairperson of the Vermont Travel Industry Conference.
Orleans, owner of PP&D Brochure Distribution, has attended the Conference annually since 1986, been an exhibiting sponsor since 1996, and sat on the planning committee for the last five years. he has been a resident of South Burlington for over 25 years.
"I strongly believe in this conference, and the value it provides to participants, exhibitors, and the State of Vermont. I look forward to another great year, and hope to make next year's conference highly relevant to the hundreds of business that serve Vermont's travelers", says Orleans. "In these challenging economic times, coming together to share ideas and discuss crucial issues is vital to our continued success."
Next years conference will be on April 7 and 8, 2010 at the Stoweflake Spa and Resort in Stowe.
PP&D Brochure Distribution Supports the Vermont Convention Bureau.
PP&D Brochure Distribution has joined the Vermont Convention Bureau and is now providing area tourist brochures to meeting, conference and event planners and attendees.
The Vermont Convention Bureau, with members state-wide, works to strengthen the economic vitality of Vermont by promoting it as a preferred meeting and convention destination.
Convention organizers can now order from over three hundred different brochures and magazines provided by PP&D. Detailed lists are available at PP&D’s website: ppdbrochure.com.
PP&D is very excited to place three new brochure displays in Chittenden County.

Every month thousands of people will view a new PP&D brochure display in the Robert E. Miller Expo Centre at the Champlain Valley Exposition, in Essex Junction. This multi-purpose building is used for dozens of shows including the Vermont Home Show, Vermont Flower Show, Everything Equine, The Vermont Quilt Festival and the Vermont Handcrafters Craft Show. The Expo Centre is also home to the Far Post and Nordic Spirit Soccer Clubs, with over a thousand games a year played at the site.
Exposition General Manager, David Grimm is pleased to have added this informational display at the Exposition and sees it as a valuable resource to share information with visitors and residents alike on all the attractions in the region. “We have worked with PP&D Brochure Distribution for more than 20 years and we’re confident they will do a great job providing us with the brochures we want, in a timely and professional manor,” he added. A PP&D display was also placed in the newly restored Colchester Schoolhouse at Airport Park. Relocated and authentically restored by the Colchester Historical Society, the 1815 building opened to the public in May. Burlington now has a new downtown hotel and PP&D has added a new display. The Courtyard Marriott Burlington Harbor is the 40th lodging establishment in the region with a PP&D brochure display. Bill Orleans attended the International Associattion of Professional Brochure Distributors conference in Florida and was also proud to be part of Vermont's International Trade Mission to China. Both amazing learning experiences.
- We added ten new racks to our West Lebanon / Hanover, New Hampshire route and in addition to those locations we are now also offering your brochures to another ten new locations. We discovered some great restaurants and B&B's along the way.
- We also added dozens of displays throughout Vermont, including Green Mountain Coffee Roaster' new Visitor Center at the Historic Train Station in Waterbury, The Essex Outlet Center, Saint Michael's College, the Holiday Annex in St. Johnsbury, the new Hampton Inn in Rutland and Quechee's newly renovated Quality Suites .
- We also expanded in New York with over a dozen additional displays including Santa's Workshop, Rosali's, The Evening Hatch, Baymont Inn, and Mountain Pine Motel.
